Beyond TurnItIn: Building Real Academic Value on Intuition’s Knowledge Graph

Hello world!

I’m excited to share my contest submission for Billy’s “final personal community giveaway pre $TRUST TGE” and I was genuinely passionate about creating this video. I’ve always been frustrated by how academic integrity gets policed and how reputation for teaching, research, and collaboration gets lost in broken metrics and anonymous evals.

I decided to tackle these problems head on. I discuss a browser extension concept for proving authentic writing (to break free from TurnItIn), a citation reputation overlay for Zotero/Mendeley, and a way for peer review, mentorship, and collaboration to finally get the credit they deserve.

My video explores how Intuition can create a portable, on-chain academic reputation that follows students, researchers, and professors everywhere, and actually rewards authentic work, teaching quality, mentorship, and collaboration.

If you believe academia should work better for everyone, I’d love your feedback, critiques, and questions!

I look forward to hearing from you!

Really love this idea. You’ve taken something as rigid as academic reputation and made it feel alive again.

Linking mentorship, peer review, and authentic work to on-chain trust graphs is such a smart move it gives credit to the parts of academia that actually build trust, not just metrics.

This feels like a glimpse of what real academic integrity could look like.
