Delve deep into what ‘identity’ truly means, how we forge our identities, methods for establishing fair and robust reputation systems, strategies to resist Sybil attacks, and systems for enhancing trust (especially in a decentralized environment).
This is a good topic for web3, and preventing sybil attacks is necessary, but there is a question here, how can new users participating in the web3 project avoid being excluded by the reputation system?
I see leveraging NFTs is the very core of your identity in the internet.
PFPs are fashion, ENS is identity (could be some other if we eventually get a better one). Funny that this has been ONLY token which my non-crypto-native friend understood and I onboarded him giving an ENS domain!
Also… like you said earlier somewhere: reputation depends on observer. So we would like to have multiple NFTs representing our true identity what we are on-chain. Unlimited opportunities to program those tokens in relation to ones situation and use case. Simple [example] is Opensea Pro which airdropped an NFT with an activity score - they could leverage that in the future for some kind of allocation for tokens.
But also we need all of those different “identities” communicate with each other so the same kind of model could be reversed to evaluate certain protocols if they’re safe and trustworthy to interact with - more genuine users doing certain things improves ones score - it’s a really complex puzzle to solve tbh AND I am a gigantic retard on this topic - just experimenting. Thanks for reading.
